Program Search

Welcome to the Office of Recovery and Reinvestment’s program and funding opportunity search page. Its purpose is to assist local governments, tribal governments, businesses, individuals, educational institutions, non-profits and others in locating information about sources of funding and other assistance provided through the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

How to Use This Site

Use the drop-down boxes below to look for funding opportunities for specific projects, or locate programs that provide assistance to individuals. Search for programs by category, whether they are competitive or non-competitive, or by the types of entities that are eligible to apply for the funding. To see all the programs, select “choose all” for every search criteria.

For each program you will see a brief description of the program, key state and federal agency contact information, the types of entities that are eligible to receive funding for projects, and an identification of the level of government (federal, state, or local) responsible for selecting projects or disbursing funds. Because most of the funds are being made available through existing federal, state, and local programs, you may be required to submit an application or proposal to the appropriate agency for consideration of your project.

For more information on competitive funding opportunities go to the Competitive Funding tab or click here.

While we have made efforts to ensure that the information about each program is complete and accurate, in some cases detailed information about how a program is to be implemented is not yet available. As a result, these pages may not be a complete description of every funding opportunity that is available through the federal recovery effort. The Office of Recovery and Reinvestment will continue to analyze the federal law and will regularly update these program descriptions as more information becomes available.

Also, please keep in mind that these pages include information about only those funding opportunities that are available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. If you cannot find a program that fits your specific needs, there may be other existing local, state, and federal programs available to help you. For more information about federal implementation efforts, including funding announcements related to the recovery bill, visit the federal government’s recovery website at http://www.recovery.gov.
